Tourist Intercept Interviewer

On behalf of our client, Headway Workforce Solutions is seeking outgoing and motivated Tourist Intercept Interviewers to conduct face-to-face interviews in Naples, Marco Island, and Fort Myers FL regions. You will be interviewing respondents at various public events.

 

Our client is a full-service market research firm serving clients and specializes in developing tourism marketing and strategic recommendations from survey results and focus groups. Their research is built upon the data collected from surveying tourists to destinations, which is analyzed to generate insightful information surrounding the economic impact of tourism to the area in addition to other key tourism findings. This would not be possible without our team of excellent on-site interviewers conducting these surveys.

 

This assignment starts immediately and is ongoing year-round.  Our client offers weekday and weekend shifts that are flexible to suit your schedule.

 

As a Tourism Study Interviewer, you will receive full, paid training and support while in the field. Interviewers must be persuasive, energetic, friendly, and self-motivated, but also organized and detail oriented.

 

The pay rate for this position is $20-$21/hour.

 

Responsibilities of a Tourist Intercept Interviewer:


·       Travel to designated locations in the Naples and Marco Island area, with occasional travel to Fort Myers, FL

·       Intercept and engage respondents to complete an in-person interview using an iPad

·       Follow all project specifications and best practices for survey research

·       Provide insight to the business to provide value to the wider tourism industry

·       Be professional and friendly at all times when conducting the surveys

Requirements of a Tourist Intercept Interviewer:


·       Must be at least 18 years old

·       High school diploma or GED

·       Must be outgoing and confident to ask people to complete surveys

·       Must be friendly and professional

·       Must be self-motivated

·       Must be familiar with Apple products

·       Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be available for two to four days per week to work a four-hour shift (approximately 8-16 hours per week based on availability of work)

·       This position requires candidates to consent to the performance of a background and motor vehicle record check

·       Must have a valid driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, proof of insurance and reliable transportation to travel to work sites for business purposes.

 

Qualifications of a Tourist Intercept Interviewer:


·       Previous field data collection or interviewing experience preferred

·       Some college preferred

·       Sales and customer service experience preferred

·       Must enjoy interacting with all sorts of people

·       Follow all health and safety protocols

·       Must treat all respondents with sincere professionalism

·       Ability to work outdoors and adjust to the environment and weather conditions as encountered

·       Ability to walk around the surveying areas extended periods of time

·       Ability to climb stairs (various numbers of flights) as needed

·       Ability to lift and carry an iPad and project materials not to exceed 5-10 pounds

·       Ability to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls

·       This job's specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

·       Possess effective communication skills through speech, listening, reading, and writing
