Field Interviewer
$22.81 per hour, plus a $4.98 per hour health & welfare stipend

Looking for Bilingual and Non-Bilingual Field Interviewers!
Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Field Interviewers on behalf of our client in the Minneapolis, MN (Hennepin County) area. Applicants within an approximate 50-mile radius of this location may be considered. As a Field Interviewer, you will conduct study enrollment interviews supporting the Parents Empowering Parents (PEP) study, which primarily focuses on assessing the effectiveness of services provided to parents involved with child welfare who have substance use disorder (SUD), an active child welfare case with an assessment that the children are not currently endangered and they are working to address the areas of concern that caused the case to be initiated. This is a multi-year study that includes a 45-minute interviewer-administered baseline survey, plus another similar follow-up survey approximately 15 months later.
This is a part-time position and applicants must be available at least 20 hours per week up to 40 hours per week based on availability of work. Applicants must be available to work a combination of weekdays and weekends when Respondents will be available and must be available to attend a remote project training. A tablet, keyboard and phone will be provided and is for use only on this assignment. The compensation for this position is based on your location and follows the Service Contract Act (SCA) rates. The SCA Rate for Hennepin County is $22.81 per hour, plus a $4.98 per hour Health & Welfare stipend.
Responsibilities of a Field Interviewer:
Follow all project specifications and protocols
Administer and collect study informed consent, including answering any questions respondents may have about the study
Conduct computer-based interviews by phone and in-person with a high degree of accuracy and integrity
Issue and track respondent payments in the form of a $40 Visa gift card
Conduct locating activities online and in-person when Respondents are difficult to reach
Regularly report to assigned Field Manager
Exercise courtesy and professionalism to all Respondents
Maintain confidentiality of all collected data
Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements of a Field Interviewer
High School Diploma or the equivalent
Good working knowledge of computers and strong typing skills
Must have home wireless internet
Must have a private space to conduct interviews
Must have own reliable vehicle and vehicle insurance
This position requires candidates to consent to the performance of a background check
Qualifications of a Field Interviewer
Two years of experience interviewing or in customer service
Social worker background or experience working with state or local agencies supporting services for citizens dealing with SUD and/or foster care are a plus
Both English and Spanish fluency is a plus
Exceptional reading, verbal, and listening skills with the ability to multi-task
The ability to speak with Respondents using a tablet and keyboard to record responses
Willingness to work in-person to locate selected Respondents and schedule appointments and conduct interviews when they cannot be completed by phone
Courteous with good communication skills and “people” skills
Positive and self-motivated demeanor
Prior Field Research/Interviewing experience a plus

Hours and Training
Must be available at least 20 hours per week – including some daytime and some evening hours during the week as well as on weekends when Respondents may be available
May work up to 40 hours in a week, based on the availability of work and project needs
Project training is paid and will consist of approximately 8 hours of computer self-study at home, as well as 3 days of group training sessions conducted remotely via WebEx
Respondent compensation: As a “thank you” for their participation and completing the approximately 45-minute interview, Respondents will receive a $40 Visa gift card.

Field Interviewer

Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking Field
Interviewers on behalf of our client in the Pittsburgh area. Applicants within an approximate 50-mile radius of this location may be
considered. As a Field Interviewer, you will conduct interviews with
parents and children and collect measurements on-site supporting the Mobility
Opportunity Vouchers to Eliminate Disparities (MOVED) study which focuses on
assessing the effectiveness of programs to lower poverty by providing
assistance to families to move to areas with greater opportunities. In
addition to conducting survey interviews, the data collection will include
taking height and weight, blood pressure, and A1c blood tests and accelerometer's (a.k.a. step counters). This is a
multi-year study.
This is a
part-time position and applicants must be available at least 20 hours
per week up to 40 hours per week based on availability of work. Applicants must
be available to work a combination of weekdays and weekends when Respondents
will be available and must be available to attend project training. A tablet,
keyboard and phone will be provided and is for use only on this assignment. The
